Raised in Louisville, taught in D.C., living in Chicago; student of Journalism, Philosophy, Design, and Film; lover of experimental music and theatre; college radio aficionado (and general manager alum); social media connoisseur; and a pisces (if you care).

I’ve never been good at describing myself. For a real look at me, I think you’d have to ask someone who knows me. I’ve created my identity over the years by identifying my passions: writing, music, philosophy, activism, and the like. But one thing I know for sure is I have an unshakable fondness and intense interest in stories. The stories people tell through their work, their music, their politics, or even those they keep to themselves, shut away in a shoebox underneath the basement couch. I’m constantly searching for new stories from individuals that make up larger communities and that have something to say. The way I see it, it’s my job to use my skills in interviews, social media, writing, and digital media such as photography, video editing, audio editing, and graphic design to share these stories with the world.

My work has historically centered around queer narratives, stories of displacement, and tales of great experimentations. I work now as a freelancer (a title I hate) while earning a keep in the petcare industry. Filling my time with everything from producing a podcast with my best friend in NYC to writing music reviews and short plays for radio, I’m eagerly searching to join a community of storytellers and media creators that inspire me and can teach me the ways of the industry I love and surround myself with.
